CarWatch support
Support is by email only. There is no phone line and no chat: every question reaches us, and is answered, by email.
We answer every email within two business days. That is a commitment to reply, and there is no faster channel.
We do not run a phone desk. A phone desk costs money, and that cost ends up in the price the customer pays. Without one we take only the commission the partner pays us and add nothing to the price, so the prices you see here are lower.
During the rental itself we are not with you: not for a breakdown, not for an accident, and not at the rental counter. We find prices and alert you when they drop, and that is all we do.
Where the partner or the rental supplier publishes an emergency number of its own, we show it next to the offer. During the rental that is who you contact, not us. Where no such number is published, we do not invent one.
What we show, and what was not disclosed to us
We show what the partner disclosed about an offer, and we mark explicitly every detail it did not. We do not fill the gaps with a guess.
The deposit is the sum actually held on your credit card at the rental counter. It is the first figure we show, because it is the one the partner does disclose to us and it is the money actually blocked on your account.
We show an excess when the partner disclosed an amount. When it did not, we say exactly that instead of inventing a number. At launch none of our partners discloses an excess, so in most offers it is marked as not disclosed.
What we show is what was disclosed to us, and not necessarily everything you will end up paying. The rental counter can add charges the partner never declared, and we cannot promise there are none.
